Chinese Restaurant Glasgow

Established in 1971, Loon Fung has become one of Glasgow’s most popular destinations for Chinese food lovers. As an icon of traditional Cantonese cuisine, Loon Fung is proud to be part of Glasgow’s diverse Asian food scene, and among the many Chinese restaurants serving up high quality Cantonese fare.

What does Loon Fung mean? Loon means Dragon and Fung means Phoenix. It symbolises the harmonious energy of Heaven and Earth; therefore, it is the perfect place to embrace the relationship between people and food. We are proud to present an imaginative menu, crafted by our team of carefully selected chefs. Primarily, we focus on serving the most-loved traditional Cantonese dishes, including Roast Crispy Pork Belly, Honey Roast Pork (Char Sue) and Roast Duck, in addition to popular stir-fried dishes. The gem of our offerings is our wide selection of Dim Sum, which are freshly prepared daily in our kitchen.

We use only the freshest ingredients, including exotic vegetables and meat, which are carefully sourced from local suppliers and markets, and all our seafood, including lobsters, seabass and scallops are caught daily by local fishermen.

We are aware that when dining, ambience can be just as important as the food. During the 2020 lockdown, the whole restaurant underwent a complete refurbishment to create a more spacious and comfortable environment for our diners. We have private rooms of varying sizes available for private parties and exquisite banquets, and we will happily cater for each individual’s social requirements.

Our management team are committed to ensuring that the quality of food, service and atmosphere in the restaurant are always outstanding, giving you a traditional Cantonese dining experience with a difference.

Reviews

This elegant Cantonese oasis is one of Scotland's most authentic Chinese restaurants; indeed, it is quite a surprise after a traditional dining experience here to emerge to boisterous Sauchiehall St rather than Hong Kong. The dim-sum choices are toothsome, and the seafood – try the sea bass – excellent

Had a fab dinner out and the staff were excellent and so attentive. Have eaten here many years ago and I was not disappointed to be back. Food was excellent and would certainly return when we were in the area again.
